DRUMLINE TRACKING

DRUMLINE TRACKING

Here's a percussion IQ tech tip for you. Tracking is the activity where batting members wear their drums and cymbals and move down the street or whatever it is to mimic what it's like to play and move like you do on the field or inside of the gym. The thing is though, a lot of groups just track going forwards and backwards. Yet, a majority of their show, they're probably actually going side to side or some sort of a backward oblique or forward oblique and they're blowing more of a crab motion. I would encourage you to actually track crabbing as well.

If we're gonna be doing that a lot in the field, why aren't we doing that when we're building the skill sets while we're tracking? Let's drum smart.
