PRODUCTIVE REHEARSALS
Here's another percussion IQ tip for you. Ensure that your students come prepared with new music ready to go when they get to rehearsal rather than learning music with you at rehearsal. You're only gonna have so many hours with the students throughout the season, and you can't get hours back. Time is a commodity that nobody can create more of. So if we enable our students to learn the music, teach them how to memorize and read the rhythms, that way they could show up as instructors.
We could spend our time mentoring the students and help them define and refine the program with them. Let's drum smart.
